Facilities for Differently Abled Students at K. M. University

K. M. University, Mathura is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible learning environment for differently abled students. The university ensures equal opportunities in education and strives to integrate such students into the mainstream of academic and social life through the following facilities:  

Wheelchair Facility
The University upholds the dignity and independence of differently abled students by providing wheelchair facilities in every department as well as in the Central Library, ensuring ease of mobility across the campus.

Ramps and Railings
Specially designed ramps and hand railings are available at key locations, including main entrances of buildings. These ramps are clearly marked, easily accessible, and suitable for wheelchair users, while railings provide additional support and safety.

Special Toilets, Rest Rooms, and Classrooms (including Laboratories)
To ensure convenience and accessibility, modified toilets, rest rooms, and classrooms—including laboratories—are available on the ground floor for differently abled students.

Scribes and Examination Support
The university provides provisions for scribes in special conditions with prior approval of VC/ Competent Authority and additional time during examinations for students facing writing difficulties.

Library Facilities
The university library has established a dedicated Disability Support Corner equipped with assistive resources by Digital library access (on-campus and remote), Audio-visual learning materials and Computer lab access.

Reservation in Admission
The University follows State Government norms for reservation and relaxation policies for Persons with Disabilities (PWD), ensuring maximum inclusion of differently abled students in various academic programmes.
